Guidelines for the Helen Frank-Roush Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility:
  1. Scholarship nominees must be a graduating female from the senior class at Ripley Union Lewis Huntington (RULH) High School.
  2. Scholarship nominees must gain acceptance to an accredited college program.
*Eligible nominations should be made to RULH High School, which will ultimately determine the scholarship recipient.

Note: Other scholarships not affiliated with the Helen Frank-Roush Memorial Scholarship may be available to graduates of RULH High School. Please contact the school directly or visit the links below.

Award Process & Comments

The Helen Frank-Roush Scholarship is a one-time cash award. When the scholarship remits funds, it will be for the full amount.
  1. After matriculating at the college of choice, the scholarship recipient must contact the financial aid office of her school to obtain the necessary information in order to transfer the funds electronically.
  2. This information must then be passed on to the scholarship custodian and arrangements made for the electronic transfer.
  3. Once the scholarship money is received by the college, it will be credited by the school towards the tuition and/or other expenses of the recipient.
The family and/or guardians of the student are responsible for any income tax implications associated with the scholarship award. Please contact your financial advisor for advice on your personal tax situation.
